Re: Manchester Airport
Something seems to have gone awry with this thread....There were many interesting replies to this back in December and they all seem to have disappeared :-(

Re: Manchester Airport
Lovely version of 70's Ringway airfield.
Any chance of a mid-fifties version?
I believe there was an RAF Reserve Air Station within the airfield up until the late 50's equipped with Vampires.

Here's a link to a DVD containing historic footage from the fifties at Ringway.

Re: Manchester Airport
Sorry to raise this thread, but this FSX Cadet needs a little help. Have just checked out this great airport on Mr M's site and would like to install. How do I convert it to work in FSX? If anybody can advise me I'd be very grateful. Looks really good and will make a fine addition for my fleet of Tridents, HS748's and BAC 1-11's to visit.
Proudly HS748 and Proudly South African!!

Re: Manchester Airport
Hi Parksie,
Scenery doesn't usually convert from one version of the sim to the other. I use the Samson and Goliath cranes at Harland & Wolff in Belfast, which were originaly done for FS2002 in FSX, but thats only one scenery object. An airport is made up of many different types of scenery objects and layers and not all of these come across to the new sim.
