Sorry about that, Dave, I mis-read that completely!
My mistake.

Looks like I'll have to re-install FS9 now then! Thought I was happily converted to FSX! Damn you Steve!!! lol (Looks lovely BTW)
Re: Hawker Sea Hawk for FS2004 - released
I was in the same boat, after my crash I had not reinstalled FS9 only FSX, I took the bull by the horns
last night and put her into FSX.........works perfectly with very little loss. I was nicely surprised
so well done Steve.
Just a few guage issues which didn't bother me in the least to see her in the air.

Re: Hawker Sea Hawk for FS2004 - released
Thanks for the offer, Gaffer, but I never really intended to make it an FSX model, and the fact that it performs well enough in X as it is, is enough for me.
As for upsetting the applecart for users who abandoned FS2004, ah well, let that be a lesson for you!
The Force strikes back against the Darkside ;-)
Cue flamewar.

Flamewar?
Dont know about that!, FS9 is for me still the better of the two, so count me on your side,
And yes I also have FSX, which spent all of 3 days installed before I realised that there was too much good stuff for FS9 that I missed,
Looks like a nice model, have been watching its progress for a while, time to download it.
Thanks for adding yet another classic british aircraft to Flightsim!
Now all we need is a decent shorts belfast........... OFFTOPIC

Re: Hawker Sea Hawk for FS2004 - released
Hi Folks'
I successfully loaded the Seahawk to FSX and got the Airframe to work OK.
The 2D Panel is missing one gauge and Auto Pilot.
Cannot get the VC Cockpit and the Start Up Smoke is in the wrong place.
Very nice model great to fly very realistic . We had them on HMS Albion.
Help needed to get it going well in FSX.
Don Bloser RN Rtd.
Thanks guys.

Re: Hawker Sea Hawk for FS2004 - released
Hi Mate,
I'm an FSX'r too and she won't go into FSX as you would like. You may already know, but the way models are made in FSX is very different to FS9. You will notice strange "ripples" in the skin too and alas these are down to the different techniques used to model for the different sims. It should be posible to swap out the non functioning guages and AP for FSX ones, but these would not necessarily be realistic. I'm afraid its just one of those things. Now, I'd love an HMS Albion for FSX, and a few suitable aircraft to land on her.
All the best,

Re: Hawker Sea Hawk for FS2004 - released
Hi Ben,
I have already swapped out the P51 Attitude Gauge for the Vixen Attitude gauge in the 2D panel.
I cannot see ripples in the skin only weak shadows.
The Gauges don't seem to be very realistic anyway. Just left with the 'Hard Ones' now
Don

Hi Don,
I think the shadows you are refering to are what I'm calling ripples. Personally I think the guages are very good considering they are FS9 and not FSX. What I was meaning as being unrealistic would be to put the default AP in to replace the one thats there. Horses for courses I guess. ;-)
