JF/Capt Sim Boeing 757

Post by J0hn »

Got an early buffdy pressie (January) and I think it's great! Capt Sim 757 from Just Flight.

I wasn't blown away by the paint selection - though there's plenty of diverse BA jobs.

I didn't know, however, that they included some fictional RAF paints:

There's also an Op Granby type one in off-pink :)

My fave modern jetliner (the only one I fly, as it 'appens), the 737, has just been replaced!

Hi John..

No doubt born when the world thought the MoD would plump for Boeing rather than Scarebus :) I note your gear is suitably sunk :o I have the FS9 version and I can't remember it being like that

Yeah - I think that's due to the extra scenery I have installed (Scotflight/Glasgow in this case). I find it happens with most of the add-on airfields I have.

I wanted to ask about it, actually - if there's anything I can do about the aircraft 'hopping' at airports. Not only the aircraft I am piloting (though that's always worst) but often the AI aircraft, too.

It's usually only up until take-off. If I land at such an airport, it's usually no problem.

Sure I read something about it somewhere, but I can't remember the info.

Hi John

Yep.. I'm thinking the same too. I think it's more down to the aircraft than the scenery (jumping that is) as I fly quite a lot into and out of Le Touquet. Took the HP42 there today and boy.. did the old girl buck around like a good'un. I don't see this with the other aircraft I use

There IS an answer.. I just can't remember what it is at the moment :dunno:

Hi John/Dave.Couple of question re the 757
Is it available for fs9?
Do you know how it compares with the LevelD 767 for the level of FMC functionality?
I would also be interested to know the fix for the 'hopping' aircraft.Best Wishes EricT :)

Went to JF's website. It is available for FS9.Looking at the images,it doesn't seem as though the O/H panel is as detailed as the 767.Maybe that is how it is in reality.Next time I use the 767 I'll try to work out what is missing.ATB EricT :)

That was me Eric  TBH.. I've flown it very little. I only bought it as it was going for a song then realised it was the base model only :$ Still.. it really was cheap :) It's pretty heavy on frames on my old dog but that doesn't make it a bad model ;-) I've no experience of the LevelD767 mate so can't comment I'm afraid :dunno:

Hmmm, ditto. I don't usually fly the big stuff at all. The CBFS aircraft and this 757 are the biggest I'll set foot in.

I've been searching forums and google about the hopping thing but nothing found.
