What kept you, Leif? ;-) I thought as I was posting the Javelin shot, "I know someone who'll be interested in this!". Glad you like it.

Impressive bit of WZ744 spotting there DaveB!
Looking at Pete's other shot of WZ744, I've only just realized why the 707C had those odd circular side windows.
Der... It matches the Vulcan. :doho:
The 707C was originally to be for initial training of new Vulcan pilots. Not needed in the end since apparently the Vulcan was easy enough for them to jump straight in.

Busy juggling real and Virtual Life Pete -- alot of stuff coming down the pike including one of my favorite British (well the engine was) General Aviation aircraft from the 30s .
And There is a shot somewhere of the single seat Jav taking from from Glosters factory somewhere - do you know why it wa lost?

I think it was one of those T-tail-associated "super-stalls" where the elevators become masked from the airflow at high angles of attack.DispatchDragon wrote:do you know why it wa lost?

Thanks Pete

Glosters had alot to teach future builders of T tails --- its one of the reasons the later Javelins had a plethora of vortex generators
