Is it just me or do you have to win the lottery to afford this thing? and that's before you even consider the combo pack :o

I think they are charging so much in the belief that they will only sell a couple of hundred at most, lets face it the MD-11 was a huge failure in real life, I fear this will simualte that perfectly... have they not heard those immortal words..."credit crunch" :fart:

PMDG work at an absolutely glacial pace, with releases being YEARS apart. Therefore when they do release something the price is very high to reflect the protracted gestation period.

What is strange is how they took what was originally a freeware MD-11 project (started in the days of FS2002 I believe), developed it for FS9, then released it for FSX and started claiming they were having problems "downgrading" it for FS9???

When the FS9 version is released, and IF it really is as good as it's said to be, then I might just forget how they hiked their prices last year when they switched the $ sign for a € sign on their products without adjusting for exchange rates... but not if they make me pay for the FSX version as well!
