There seems to be some issues with manifold pressure and engine turbo control's since the patch has been installed.

The turbos remain on 'manual' setting and when I try and select auto via the accusim panel, they revert back to manual.

As a result of this I cannot gain enough power to perform a take off and all four engines are coughing and spluttering and running very rough.

Knowing me, its almost certainly operator error. :$

So can anyone point me in the right direction? :dunno:

Cancel the above. Additional patch released this morning. Problem solved. ;-)

Appears the first patch was completed using Acceleration and not SP2.

This new patch solves that.

Thanks again!

Does this (these?) patch(es) improve FR's at all? I am sure (from what others have said, elsewhere) she is a bit of a frame hog!

Hi Trev,

I have to be honest and say, for me personally, the FPS is slightly less since the patch has been released. With the patch comes a host of additional features and this comes at a price (for my machine anyway). :-(

Still average around 12-15fps with most sliders max'd out.

Smooth most of the time but can be a little juddery when I get to busy airports/cities etc..

Yes our models are still some of the best optimised around and the 377 has had a a whole lot of optimisation done to it.

Things looking good with bad frame rates isn't something we are 'into'

Hm, a bit conflicting those last two posts! Thanks guys, I will pass on this baby until I eventually upgrade my PC!

I always wanted to be a flight engineer (I misssed out by a whisker whilst in the RAF) so the detailed FE panel interests me, just a shame there is not a virtual captain to fly her. I guess MP mode may enable this to become reality?

not conflicting at all, esp if compared with other 4 engined ultra detailed add-on aircraft.

Plus its one of those things that Simmer have to drop coming from FS9,.. the need to count frames as a mark of smoothness. The dark side is named so as the laws you once knew no longer exist. 15-20 is plenty to fly in fsx, its just when up is down and down is up it makes your brain explode. confused? I bloody well am! :fart:

interesting i seem to have your symtoms with the spluttering engines but i am FSX+ACCEL

changed all 4 engines but they simply wont idle below 2300-2500 rpm 40 inches map with accusim running, they surge and cough, well the ILS is fixed but the B377 still grounded for engines this time, some nice features added and at last the fuel system works as it should, however i need those engines !!!

DOH found it, auto mixture had been set "on" in FSX, probally for one of the other prop jobs i have been flying, turned auto mixture off and she purrs like a kitten
