I have been lucky enough to test this in FS9 and I can say that from the first beta I was impressed the final version is very very good, FSX version will be about 2 months behind this one. The amount of detail yet keeping the frame rate high is brilliant. I may be biased but Gary has done some great sceneries and his Xtreme series just gets beter and better on each release.
All you dinosaurs me being the oldest who use FS9 will love this... :)

Any idea how it compares with the SimWings version?

Does anyone know how the demo version varies from the full version?

I dont have the Sim wings version however I am led to believe that it compares very favourably I am biased and it would be unfair for me to say what is better, I would just say if you pick this one you WILL NOT be disapointed ;-)

Demo version I am led to believe is FULL version but with the box on the runway, but unlike other payware airports you get to see the whole jobbie for nothing :D

I just did another flight from EGLL to Frankfurt (mega) and the frame rates at EGLL on my system specs below with AS6.5 FSSE Global mesh and 100% ultimate traffic never dropped below 20 fps!!! now thats smooth!!! numbers may not be high but it ran lovely and remember thats with everything maxed out and full weather no corners cut!! I am impressed with this honestly CHEERS

Looks nice, this'll be one of the primary reason FS9 stays on this PC :).

I was curious about the 100% NONE Gmax models ? statement, surely it makes no difference what software you use, it all has to pass through MakeMDL ?.

Will try the free version tonight, gonna look fwd to this :), I dont buy much payware but if its as good as the screenies then I'll stump the cash.

Best

Michael

I think if I was to on;ly buy one thing for FS it would be his scenery.. I am a freeware fan, just look at the F86, the Lockheed Starliner v2 as proof that good freeware is around, then try and get the same for FSX...you will hurt your neck looking ;-)

I would love to know how this compares with the Aerosoft/Simwings: Mega Airport Heathrow 2008 in terms of frames. Pity really that there seems to be no decent/up-to-date Luton Airport available, UK2000 have already announced that they're not doing one, looks like i'll be using the extremely dated Simflyers (now defunct) scenery for a good while yet :-( .

Ben from what I have heard this is more frame rate friendly due to the way it was coded. I can verify that Beta one was very good on FR then Beta two dragged them downa bit but the final Beta and release version this was cured and I was getting better FR's on the release version than Beta one, this was amazing as the fianl version had a stacks more objects than the first Beta!!
I do not have the other version of EGLL but like I say I have not seen any complaints about Gary's scenery ;-)
Re Luton, yes a great shame it never will be done by Gary but on their forums someone was taking this on, but I have no updates about it. I still use the UK2000Scenery part 4 or 5 with Luton in it, maybe out of date but its ok.
