A2A Update, SP1 for 377 news

Post by Lewis - a2a »

Hey chaps,

hopefully some of you lot have tried Accu-sim with our 377. Well we have been building on it further and now have quite a scary update for our 377 and a good solid base to work from for our future aircraft and bringing accu-sim technology to more aircraft.

Anyway here's a couple preview screen shots that some BOAC folks may like;

And to see a little of it in motion here is a link to a little video Scott made,.. warning US cheese factor is large

The update of course will be 100% Free, and ill let you chaps know when we have it on our servers ready for you to download... Remember or those installing the 377 to select British voice pack, you may recognise the voice's from some members.

PS,
I am still pushing for some Brit stuff to be modelled with accu-sim.

Thanks for the contiinued work on this excellent model.
Accusim makes flyin the 377 a work load , a bit like being a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. :worried:
but worth everybit.

That looks incredible! :o

Out of interest does anyone know when BOAC ceased using the stratocruisers? And what happened to them?

Hi Eddie

I think it was about 1958/59.

After mainline service they continued for a short while with associates like Ghana Airways.

One at least ended up in a Guppy

That's about what I have Garry. Seems every 377 not W/O went to Transocean in '59 or thereabouts. I'd guess from that, Transocean were a holding/leasing company??

Hi Dave

Transocean were an airline and flew them in a yellow livery

I think they bought a few up and when they failed Aerospacelines had them .

Quite a few were used.the prototype used a 5 metre section of a BOAC for example stuffed into a Pan Am
