Fuel usage not logged

Post by Nigel H-J »

Have sent message to John Payne and Chris Trott regarding the above.

Flew from Glasgow to Inverness in the Viscount G-AOHR having loaded 1150Kg of fuel.

After parking at the ramp shut down the engines then applied parking brake. On looking at the flight details it showed the amount of fuel purchased but in fuel used for the flight it shows........ 0Kg!! :o

Flight has been marked as possibly cheated and hopefully that will be rectified how-ever, just wonder if by shutting engines down then applying parking brake this may have contributed to the problem?

Equally I checked the realism settings and the unlimited fuel is unchecked so no problem there.

Do not understand why this has happened!! :dunno:

Hi Nigel,

We are getting a lot of these 0 kgs flights flagged at the moment. I have asked the question why and the answer was given that those flights were due to the refuelling taking place with the sim paused so the correct fuel was not loaded. The other reason which is what I suspect has happened on this occasion is that you have parked near the refuelling station - your aircraft has 7076kgs of fuel onboard. This is just a shade below max fuel and was probably the amount of fuel used from being topped to 100% and shutting down your engines. Please avoid the refuelling stations in FS.

Regards

John

Many thanks for the quick reply John, just checked the ramps where I was parked at but was not near a refuelling station, equally did not have the pause button pressed prior to flying. Gawd, what am I to do with all that fuel on board? Will certainly be overweight so therefore amount of pax will have to be drastically reduced?

Nigel.

Hi Nigel,

You can always offload some fuel, it's not been paid for anyway. I don't think you need to actually park near the refuel point, taxiing past it will refuel you I believe.

Hi John, I did taxi past near a refuel point at Inverness on my way to the ramp!! :doho:

Never mind, all that fuel will surely bring some benefit to the VA!! :worried:

Just reduced the amount of pax for the flight to Stornaway, such a lovely island that I will stay over the week-end before flying out on Monday. :partyman:

Many thanks for your advise, will taxi well clear of the refulling pumps in future. ;-)

Regards
Nigel.
