Aerosoft F-16 released!

Post by Tweek »

Looks like an absolute masterpiece, and I've never been so sure about purchasing a payware aircraft!

Word of warning: it's a 668mb download! :o

For some reason, i cannot get excited about any F-16, although I am pretty sure it is old enough to be a 'classic' now. Perhaps it is the fact that my PC could not cope with a cruising speed of Mach 0.99 without going all blurry!

And I can't get excited about any MD-11, so this is my equivalent to PMDG's latest.

I've been following development of this and it's set to be a stunner. I'm downloading as we speak but it looks as though the download servers are getting hammered, I'm getting a whopping 50kb/s.

I must have got in there pretty quickly then, as I was getting around 600-800kb/s.

They weren't lying when they said it'd be CPU intensive. I'm a little concerned about the stuttering... :worried:

Ok, the stuttering is totally eradicated simply by turning self shadowing off. I've never known that to have such an impact on performance...

Looks very nice indeed and at 30 Euros, quite fairly priced too. I won't be getting it ( far too fast for me ) but if its up to the same standard as their FSX DHC2, you will be in for a treat, no doubt.

Ok a day or so after release....opinions?

Worth it? Was never much of a '16 fan but for some reason it has grown on me of recent.
