Eagle Flight...

Post by petermcleland »

I've managed to persuade American Eagle to base one of their ATRs at McLeland Field...Here is a sequence of shots I took today while testing schedules:-

Thanks Peter, I always enjoy looking at your screenshots, I wish I could get the detail your scenery seems to have. The ATR seems to be coping with the cold weather these days :)

Tony,

The scenery in ALL that sequence is exclusively Holger Sandmann scenery, including the extremely accurate mesh...As a matter of interest I have navigated "Dangerous River" from Harlequin Lake right down to the sea, in an FS9 boat, using real world maps and checking the overhead view frequently. I was astonished to discover how exact this complex river is modelled...Even to a steep rapids marked on the map! That boat trip taught me to look more carefully to admire the nitty gritty of Holger's scenery because when you look at his coastlines, rivers, glaciers and mountains, you know that they really do look like that in real life :flying:

Freeware is Glacier Bay...Which joins to Tongass Fjords (payware but superb)...Which joins to Misty Fjords (payware but superb). Tony, if you start with Glacier Bay which costs nothing, then you can see what standard the other two will be. Glacier Bay has Dangerous River so you can see for yourself what I meant :flying:
