Just flew a very smooth autopilot-coupled ILS approach into Zurich Kloten.

Effective "heavy aircraft" dynamics and very stable.

Panel is much less complicated than some other Russian aircraft like the Tu-154 by Project Tupolev.

Some experience with Russian cockpits (aligning gyros, activating HSI etc) would be useful.

Hopefully, an English manual will be available.

Believe me, full immersion is guaranteed. :)

No feed back from Tweek yet re; FSX. I've tried it, and although the aircraft looks and flies ok, it makes a real mess of the scenery. I've not experienced this problem before, and have no idea what causes it.

I briefly tried it in FSX. Model displays fine, with the usual port-over issues, but there are a few incompatible gauges.
No problems with it messing up the scenery :dunno:

Not a bad aircraft, had a quick flight in it yesterday. Handles how you would expect it to for the size, very nicely modelled but dont understand any of the warning signs! (All Russian!)

I guess an aircraft of this magnitude will be tough to get to grips with at first. Just bear with it. :$

Didn't think to report back for some reason! :doho:

My only problem with it (seeing as I never use the 2D panel) is that the prop disks disappear behind clouds, and seem a bit more opaque than how they should. If I'm not mistaken, people have provided quick fixes for such issues before, although I could very well be mistaken! The rest of the model is absolutely fine, though, and I've also had no problems with the scenery.

So for now, if you can look past the slight issues with the props, and don't mind flying from the outside, simply admiring the excellent external model, then it's a fine addition to the FSX hangar aswell.

Prop disk behind clouds is model and that's not fixable

Darker disks are partly texture and that is possibly fixable

I suppose one way to 'fix' the prop issue would be to always fly in clear skies... I guess it depends on how much you love your clouds/props!

I'm not complaining of course, because it is clearly an FS9 model. However, it was worth trying.

This is a short sequence of shots, just for anybody who might be interested.

Is there just too much memory demand with that scenery when you run what must be a high demand model??

Does it happen where you have default scenery?
