Hello again D &G (the Dolce et Gabbana of Flightsim design Image)
BTW Ian.. I've not put mips on those textures either
(blahblahblah  )

PEP's looking very nice indeed, thank you very much - and for not putting mips on them!

There's Peter in the background shuttling back to LHR!

I had to change the config slightly as the textures didn't show when linked to model.953c. I've linked them to 953 and they seem fine to me :worried: ???
I'm not sure who to thank for the paints as Garry is credited in the file, but Dave has had his grubby mitts on them as well. So thanks to both and to Rick for making it all possible in the first place - and to my manager and to my parents without whom etc etc etc .... Image

The bad news is that it now shows up the Viscounts, so I'd better try the same thing with them at a later stage (at least if that works I can use the Guernsey paint). And as the HJG 707s are giving me the biggest frame rate hit, perhaps I should learn how to convert 32bit to DXT3 myself (now that I know the difference!).

Is it difficult to do and/or what would I need?

Thanks. guys

Ian :)

Aaah! That's the difference between the 953 and the 953c! Like I said, they don't show up when linked to the 953c model. I've got the latest files as I only downloaded them from the Pond yesterday. Not sure what to do about that :worried:

Yes.. and Air Bridge would do the same stopped! :) Here's the correct 953c file.. 953c

Sadly.. when Ricks site got hacked, his files spread all over the globe leaving many out of date. The best surefire way to ensure you have the very latest of everything is to download the VA Packs. Downside is that these also contain lots of things you don't need for AI so in the meantime, use the file above. It could also be that your airfile is adrift.. the correct one should be VICKERS VANGUARD 953.air. If it's not.. I can send it separate or alternatively, you can change the sim= line to read whichever airfile it is you're using (on those paints that is). blah, blah, blah

BTW.. what you should be seeing with EP BA Red Tail (and t'other one) when stopped is no fwd LH airstairs but the freight door open and airstairs on the RH side FWD (even though they didn't have them there ;-)

Your Manchester certainly looks very very cool though.. and I'm not saying that just because EP has visited

Dolce and Gabbana Image

You've omitted to respond to Ian's plea:

Ian

Download DXTBMP

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia ... TBmp.shtml

Then call up the texture and resave as extended bitmap DXT3

Cheers for that, Ian and Garry. I've also googled a very basic tutorial on Avsim so I'll have a go at doing it myself. At least I know where to come if I get stuck.

Ian :)
