PMDG's MD-11

Post by Viper »

Hi...

Well, it's there, the PMDG MD-11. Nice, if it is as good as the 737 and 747, it's a "must".
And it's there for FSX and FS9.
However, for the combo (FS9 - FSX) one has to pay 89 euro's.
Looks like tha add-on's are getting more and more expensive...

Nothing is worth 89 euros IMHO, you can by several whole game platforms for the price of this add-on :@

I agree wholeheartedly with Trev on this one. I have the 737 NG but left the 747 alone because of the cost and the little extras PMG charge for.
Good time to launch given the state of the global economy. HELP

Welcome to the future, I bet a few other developers will be watching this price hike as well.

They'll be watching it, and especially watching how fast they drop it or put it on sale because the numbers don't match the expectation.

I personally think its discusting, yeah ther stuff is outstanding. But 89euros is of the planet, i assume that the fs9 only verson will be 59euros, when it comes out. But thats still a bit steep.

Their will be people out there with no sence who are willing to pay this. Also there are a few fake liveries for the MD-11 i see? I cant say i would be happy flying round in a British airways MD-11 even if just for fun. As i will know its unrealistic.

I don't have any problem with it at all...I just won't be buying it, so why should I worry

Hi...

Price for the FSX version is € 59,99 (the same as for their FSX 747), FS9 version is not out yet. It is to be received in late 2008 by a download link.
Don't know what the "official" price will be, but when buying the combo, you'll pay € 30 for the FS9 version.

I'm surprised they're even doing an FS9 version after all the hoo-hah over them NOT doing one and this product being the launch of their FSX-only development.

Either way, I'm never buying it on principle because I, like many others, feel that our donations and assistance to the author of the panel were wasted when he was 80%+ finished with his new panel for FS9 only to announce with absolutely zero warning that he was going to PMDG and taking the long-awaited panel with him. Then he shortly thereafter announced (with PMDG) that it was going to be for FSX only.

To each his own though. I'm happy enough with the SkySim MD-11.
