crash to desktop over eham

Post by fran65 »

...there's no words....not time to fly, I need a trip to Lourdes, ... by train :-(

The fact: egcc to eddl, as training, all is go until over Amsterdam, when, descending at 23591 ft, FS (not the client) crashed. :@
Default scenery, UTEurope, RCV4 running, default weather.
I think is not the first time around EHAM, someone experienced CTD over here?
The only good new is that I'm in traning... ;-)

P.S. an idea, maybe caused by a change of timezone, UTC+1?

Hi Fran,

Unless I am mistaken I think one of our guys was having problems in this area with the sim locking up/crashing. It was a long time ago and I can't remember how it was cured. DaveB was it you?

Regards

...again! Reading your msg and flying around over eham for a test flight, with only fs9 running, another CTD!!

Here's the error report, please note terrain.dll .

AppName: fs9.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.30612 ModName: terrain.dll
ModVer: 9.1.0.40901 Offset: 00023a0b

Any ideas? HELP
:)

Sri Fran.. not sure what that is exactly but it's a scenery issue. Are you using the default EHAM or an addon??

John..
My 'black spot' and that of a few others was Liege (it still is on one pc but fine on this one). There are a line of 3 VOR's you pass flying to Frankfurt Main.. Liege and one either side that have caused problems in the past. Even though I don't get CTD'd on this particular pc.. I still hold my breath when flying that route!

Hi Fran :)

Like you, I had no 'specific' addon scenery around Liege other than perhaps a mesh or ground textures. The only way I found around the problem was to route away from the area by about 35-40nm. It did the trick!

I also have an odd one like EHAM on my 'flying' pc. I've found on VC10 flights LHR to North Africa (sorry, I can't remember the exact airfield off the top of my head).. the 'TO' flight is fine but on the return, I get a CTD north of Nice enroute to a particular VOR. Once more, I've learned to route away from that area as I certainly don't have any addons there :-( If I don't.. time after time it CTD's in exactly the same place! Odd.. very odd

Funny did the same flight on the TR. Screen went black on approach to EDDL Rwy 5L. Using RCV4 and Active Sky. Aborted flight. No problems when I did it second time.

More like a wave as we fly past each other over the North Sea!
