Hi Guys,
Since FSA have started checking how many engines we have, another issue has come to light with regards the Westland Wessex. The aircraft.cfg shows only one engine so the database entry of two, means it's showing as 'incorrect aircraft'. Although the client gives some leeway for extra engines (e.g. for apu's) it doesn't like seeing less engines than there should be. I have made another entry on my aircraft.cfg for the missing engine which keeps the client happy. This does not appear to have any advserse affect on the model but if anyone finds it does, please post below.
aircraft.cfg edit :-
================================
[GeneralEngineData]
engine_type=3
Engine.0= 0, 0.000, 0
Engine.1= 0, 0.000, 0
fuel_flow_scalar=1.00000
min_throttle_limit=0.000000
================================
Regards
John

The Wessex should have two engines
Only the early ones had one

Re: Wessex aircraft.cfg change
Hi Garry,
Yes, we had the database entry correct and the weights were correct. I kept messing with the weights and couldn't work out why it kept saying wrong aircraft. It was only when I scrolled to the engine section I see that for some reason it's configured with only one engine
. The cockpit has all the gauges for two.

John

Re: Wessex aircraft.cfg change
Because in FS9, helicopters don't work especially well with 2 real engines. It's a limitation of the helicopter flight model. FSX fully supports multi-engine helicopters for the first time in the series.
