Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Word of warning. Landed at EGGP got off runway stopped. Applied Pareking Brake. Pressed end flight on client. Copped a 5% penalty for ending flight whilst still rolling. All future flights I am going to end flight at terminal after I have shut down.

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Hi Simon
Not sure what to say here other than this problem appears to be intermittent. I did EGCC-EGAA in a Viking this afternoon.. on landing I got the bing bong and flight state 'Landed' in the text line.. watched the speed and ran to the first available turnoff (taking into consideration a pretty long roll... it was the last one). Pulled the aircraft so that the main gear was over the 'hold' lines then stopped and hit the parking brake. I then reduced the sim and selected 'End Flight'. No error picked up.. as far as I'm aware
Are you seeing this all the time or just on that particular flight??

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Just this flight. However I looked at the FSAirlines website afterwards and it seems we are supposed to taxi to the ramp and shut down.

Hi Guy's..
A loophole in the 'rolling' part of the prog has been closed.. DaKurt had based it on IAS and not groundspeed ;-)
Be aware though that some aircraft DO creep.. even with parking brakes on but as far as I'm aware, the aircraft that do are not yet in general service with us (POSKY 747's being one).

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Simon,
You shouldn't have to manually upload your flight. After pressing end flight, leave client running and go to FSAirlines site and wait to see your flight on the overview, keep refreshing if need be. Once you have seen the flight appear you can then close the client. With the old client there was often a delay whilst the client uploaded the flight and we could see this by the delay time with the flight summary appearing. With the new client we don't have this acknowledgement so you have to go check. Keep the client running until your flight appears.
Regards
John

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Sorry Dave, just completed flight in Viking from EDDH-EGCC. Finished flight by taxying to terminal. Parking brakes on and shutting engines down before pressing End Flight. Got 5% penalty for aircraft still rolling when flight ended. This seems to be a bug and I have now been penalised twice. Is there a way of restoring 100% on these two flights and also having the bug rectified.DaveB wrote:Hi Guy's..

Re: FSAirlines Beta Bugs
Hi Simon..
I honestly don't know what's gonna happen. Some folk are flying footloose and fancy free and others are hitting penalties.. the latter for no apparent reason. On my Viking flight, I pulled off at the last but one turnoff on the right at the 17 end runway.. taxied past the hold line, stopped and applied the parking brake. The aircraft was still turning and burning (though still). Why the hell is the client penalising some and not others
If you started the flight with your parking brake on and you'd obviously stopped in every sense of the word after landing then ending the flight.. there is no reason why you should get pinged and not me as under the circumstances, I was still running and not at the gate
I'll put a question up asking if pilots incurring such penalties can have the penalty reversed until a cause is found in the client. Can't guarantee what the outcome will be.. probably negative but I'll ask anyway ;-)
