Hi Chris

I also remember when they said they had ground breaking 3d gauges 2 years after i built my chipmunk

But i do see your point but as every message i have ever posted on the alpha forum has been deleted within 24 hours i do not bother going there often :dunno:

just noticed it when looking at the longbow shots (which looks lovely)

If whispers I hear are right, then probably not :-# . Sometimes its not the testers fault though.

from the longbow Apache post on AS
AlphaSim - the ONLY FS developer making TRUE FSX models with full SP2 compatibilty. The future starts here.
yeh right
I think that's Phil's signature strip. It may have been applicable many moons ago but obviously that isn't the case now...
In fairness there were several other developers making true FSx models long before Alphasim were, its just that there developement span is much longer, Alphasim is not the only developer, nor the first, but they are the fastest.

There's a customer who's bought the AS Hunter on a Flight1 CD getting short shrift from the AS CEO for complaining about basic faults with the a/c that ought to have been spotted in Beta testing. Not a nice way to treat your customers. Especially when you're trying to break into a new market.

Hi...

Everybody is so full of comments towards AS but you all forget that there are loads of people that are not looking for perfectionism, just for nice aircraft and that are enjoying the AS planes. I'm one of them.
However, just for the record, the "good" companies also make mistakes.
Even RealAir with their great FSX Spitfire.
I told them about a fault in one of the national markings of the Dutch 3W-17 livery (red and blue are switched) but this is still not fixed.
So it's not only AS that has bad betatesters.

Johan,

True, and I don't think I've ever brought anything from AS, however their attitude to anyone bringing up a criticism on their forums seems to be one of belittling people who've paid good money for their product. Now I accept no FS model will be perfect but their default response seems to go along the lines of 'Duh you're so stupid you can't do that in FS, you must have cheese for brains'. This has pretty much put me off buying anything from AS, there are ways of telling people your models are limited by the framework you're working in and AS seem to have gone for the one that makes me want to punch them in the face.
