Hey Guys
I am looking for a decent texture set to improve my FSX experience - especially as I've been shelling out for some new payware FSX aircraft and sceneries lately (thank you Capt Sim for the models). Scotflight and hopefully also VFR Airfields. It's all well and good having nice aircraft and airfields, but if the surrounding/enroute scenery is lacking, it almost makes me want to go IFR! :o
I've tried several freeware types - the wonderful world ones and others released in the last 6 months or so - but nothing has quite done it for me.
I've been looking at the payware stuff, but it's the same old problem - are they any good?
I saw FScene X - but when I bought the FS9 versions, I was very underwhelmed and can't see myself buying that.
Anyone tried the Aero Files texture packs? These look interesting. I can't link as it says not to in the rules - anyway you don't need one if you have seen it already (from simMarket - mebbe others) and if you haven't, you can't recommend it!
Or anything else - but it has to be genuinely good, or I'd rather just stick with the default ones.
Please recommend FSX textures

Yeah - thanks, but I think you misunderstood - I already have VFR photo scenery - I need something to improve textures where the default scenery is used - for example Scotland (to help my Scotflight airfields experience) and other countries I visit.
Besides - some of those Aero Files packs are for sky and water textures, too. Apparently, they are less strain on the hardware, to boot.
If they costed a little less, I'd just buy them and risk it - like I did with the Cloud9 European X-Class - I didn't notice any difference, but as they were only £6.99 it was no big loss.

Hi Techy, I can't see any mention of the scottish stuff on the main pages of the site at the minute.
Ben.
