A2A Simulations P47D (FSX update)

Post by Lewis - a2a »

Hey chaps,

I know a few of you lot have the WW2F package from us. Well following on from the spit and 109e the P47D update for 'proper' FSX flying is now out and can be downloaded here;
http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 50&t=11547

If your flying the p47d in fsx then please do update to get rid of any port-over niggles, it free of course.

Cheers,
Lew

Lewis, I jumped straight in and purchased this once I heard it was now fully FSX updated, however I didn't read the blurb properly and whilst it's a stunning model and the price is incredible value for money I was a little disappointed to see only one model, the one with stores, rather than a "clean" version. Is there any chance of an update with a second model containing no rocket tubes and 1000lb'ers? Obviously the drop tank isn't a problem as you can just drop that on the ground if you don't want to carry it, but the stores are something of a pain.

Or is there a way to remove them that I haven't discovered yet in the documentation?

Chris once loaded up go to 2d panel, and added to the normal little square buttons (ATC, RADIO etc, etc) is now also two stores buttons. Press them and they will disappear.

Lewis,

I've now downloaded the FSX updates for the Spitfire, 109 and P47 and they've made a great difference not just to the textures but also the frame rates. :)

I'm very impressed, not just with how the aircraft look and perform in FSX after the update but also that A2A have taken the time and trouble to produce these updates rather than leaving us with a product which looked and ran better in FS9 than FSX.

Keep up the good work.

Jon

Next up for the Thunderbolt will be a Accu-sim pack. The P-51 is also undergoing a overhaul for FSX.

How about a watch list thread stickied in various sections of the forums (one in CB, one in CNB and one in payware) where people can post things like this so everyone can keep an eye on it? Obviously once it's released the posts can be removed.

Just a thought, there seem to be so many great aircraft in development I keep loosing track of what's what, I have seen this Lysander before but completely forgot about it, and there is a stunning L-39 in development for FSX that I keep loosing in my bookmarks.

Hi Chris

I se where you're comming from but....

Straight HU is fine for payware as this is a freeware support site.

If someone wants to watch it more closely then maybe they can add it to their favorites.

I fail to see how posting heads up for payware in the payware section is any different from collating them all in a sticky in the payware section. If you've got a lot of bookmarks like myself these get lost very easily? As I said it was just a thought, perhaps something worth considering for the future? I'll defer to you on this one if it's already been discussed by the ministry behind closed doors though.

No Chris, this is not the MOD! I think the fact that you can add a subject as a favourite is sufficient, we do not claim to be the SimOuthouse, where they do exactly what you proposed.

When this payware section was set up a few years ago (after lobbying from me and some others), it was against the thinking of several important members (some of who pay for the site ;-) ), but was included 'as a trial forum' to see how it went. There are plenty of forums about covering payware releases full time and this one has always concentrated on free stuff, however rare that is now getting.
