Coming Soon to a Pond near you :)

Post by DispatchDragon »

Some screenies of David Molyneaux's P&P Whitney Straight in beta testing
another little jewel , flies beautifully (I have only flown it in VC so far) He has really outdone himself this time
with the help of the good folks at the Miles Preservation Society, Sounds by Don Putnam and BrianH is busy putting
the final touches to the Flight file as we speak. For those who enjoy flying PreWar light aircraft, I think you will really
enjoy this one, there are some really nice real touches to it, including a very odd third flap and the very authentic
door fold, David will probably be along if you have any real questions - I just get to fly it.

Parked on the apron at Staverton , sorry Gloucestershire, sorry for me it will always be the former, drop, a Auster AI,
Smiths Dove and 748, Prehaps a Gemini, Messenger and Tiger parked around, and you would be back the way I remember it
48 years ago.

Another shot of the same - showing the rather neat bifold door. The running joke with us has been about the sky blue colour
that Phillps & Powis and then Miles seemed to favor - David has an interesting theory about it.

Image

It flies beautifully, about 150 of these were built and there will be a plethora (Hey I got to use that in a sentence!)
of paint schemes - including military when its released

Image

Doing chandelles - lord a beta testers job is just SO difficult and demanding ;)

Image

On the way back to Stav....Gloucestershire!, As soon as Brian has finished his tweaks it will
be available at the pond (http://www.classicbritishfiles.com for those who dont know).

If anyone is interested I can post some shots of the VC and the 2D , Again courtesy of the MPS the cockpit is
an accurate depiction of a late M-11a with modern (60-70s avionics)

Cheers

Peter W sent me this shot today - It will come as part of the package when Daves M-11a is released

Hope it stirs some memories for Auster
