Re: Argonaut Virtual Cockpit.
Took me four months to get round to it. HEX worked. Right, how do I get internal views to work now I have got rid of the VC? I put the new DC6 panel from Cal Classics on and I cannot get the internal views to work.

Simon..
They should be listed in the panel.cfg that came with the new panel so no further fiddling is necessary. However.. you're not seeing them so something is obviously duff

As the DC panel you're using came with panel views.. you should have entries similar (though not necessarily the same) as those above.

Re: Argonaut Virtual Cockpit.
Are you using FS9 or FSX? If it's the latter then you're stuck, since FSX uses the VC to provide interior views with the 2D panel.

Re: Argonaut Virtual Cockpit.
THAT is a very valid point. One day.. I'll stop presuming we're all still on FS9

Re: Argonaut Virtual Cockpit.
That's odd
On my models for FS.9 the VC is producing the 2D interior views
Is this something that gets overridden as above or is it a FSDS 3.5 thing........the Vangurad was pre MakeMDL FSDS
Just a passing interest as I have not looked into it.

Re: Argonaut Virtual Cockpit.
The way I always thought it was that the VC was always there (if the aircraft had one) but if 2D views were supplied they sought of just sat over the top of the VC in 2d panel mode.
And as such if there were nice photo 2d views but no wing sticking out where I'd expect it, there was no VC.
But that was an assumption based on not much in depth knowledge.

Re: Argonaut Virtual Cockpit.
A lot depends on how it's modelled mate
Rick's Viking (for example) has full 2D views.. no VC but.. he did model the wing view so these can be seen through the 2d bitmaps. If Simon can send me what he's done with the model, I'll pull the panel and try to see what's happening ;-)

Re: Argonaut Virtual Cockpit.
First I had better explain what I did.
I put the Cal Classics new DC6 panel into the Argonaut. That gave me a better main panel but still left me the JBK side views as in the VC.
I then used the HEX and removed the VC. As expected that gave me no sideviews. So that worked.
I then tweaked around the panel cfg so that all the windows were shown similar to Dave's Vanguard cfg, which incidentally I am going to try now.
That gave left, right and rear views but none of the others, wierd. Also using this panel aircraft starts cold and the if I change screen size the engines stop and the , which it doesn't do on the DC6! I'll let you know how I get on.

Re: Argonaut Virtual Cockpit.
Thank you every body. Thanks Dave, copied the Vanguard panel cfg that you posted. . I used the Dove ones and somehow it did not work. Now all I need to sort out is the engine problem, but I can live with that for the time being.
