Traffic hostie who was called "the Body"..............the joke was that one day she would accidently back into the prop of a HS748 or Viscount and the result
would be........

That brings back happy memories. In the mid-70's I shared a house with two senior Monarch stewardesses. Every weekend, if I wasn't doing anything more important, I would get to fly to exotic destinations (Palma, Tenerife), sitting on a jump seat in the cockpit. Coming back I would refill our drinks cabinet with duty frees. I got to fly on their B720's, BAC1-11's and Britannias. Then there were all the parties..... Happy Days!!!

The one on the left was a VERY senior A/H If you think you probably know both them - ever attend any parties
out on the Old Bedford Road???

Hi Leif,
Don't particularly remember Old Bedford Road, but do remember parties in Upper Wellington Street and out at Totternhoe. Names that come to mind - Annie Roberts, Kathy O'Conner, Ingrid Bachmann, Jenny Dudley, Bruna Greco and the very lovely Jenny Brader, who is on the front of a Monarch Souvenir brochure I have. If I can work out how to up-load it I'll post a scan.
Bob
p.s. the ex-Monarch Britannia at Duxford has a nice display of photos from the period showing Flight and cabin crews.

Totternhoe? Wasnt at Manor Farm were they?

LOL I knew Bob Costin continued to lease the farm after we all (The Dan Air mob) left ...I think he may have
had a couple of Monarch Girls - Totternhoe/Eaton Bray/Edlesborough were quite popular with the airline folks
There were at least three Dan AIr/Inivcta Steweries in Eaton Bray - and three Britannia girls lived in a Cottage on the
Village green at Edlesborough, - Pam Watson-Jones was one fo them - Owned an MGCGT

Much happier days :)
