Re: Sunderland LOW pass
The navigator gets the crew lost and thanks to the captain's superior aviating they manage to find the airshow, but are a few minutes late. As is customary on a boat, the captain holds a quick Captain's Mast and finds the navigator guilty of dereliction of duty and punishes him to be keel hauled.
On the flight deck as they approach the runway for the second pass -
Captain: "Is he in place?"
Crewmember: "Yes sir."
Captain: "Good. First Officer, watch the radio altimeter and keep me apprised."
The airplane proceeds to make the pass on film. As they make their flyby, the captain expertly touches the offender's rear-end on the runway, tearing away his pants and heating the flesh but not doing permanent damage. While flying away, the howls of pain can be heard from the navigator but all in attendence fail to see him under the plane and think that the sound is simply coming from the engines.
