Edit....never mind i just got the update so i'll see if that works........Nope....not listed...
Mate, use the ASUS tool (if its an ASUS board) and you'll be fine.
If your running your cpu without over clocking, then the intel ones are fine, and they are gaurenteed to work. The way I see it, intel aren't going to stick a fan on their cpu if it won't do the job. I've always ran with the proper intel fans (I don't over clock) and never had any bother personally
As Ben said, the stock cooler should be fine. You'd probably even get away with a small overclock.
There's an interesting article here about aftermarket CPU coolers. Your particular model isn't listed, but it gives the general idea (i.e. don't believe everything they tell you!).
Why not go with the intel blurb I posted above. As long as the temp at your intake fan is below 38-39c (and when does that ever happen in this country!!!) and the inside of your case doesn't go above 60%.. the original fan will do the business just fine.. as long as you have it connected correctly ;-) These things do break but I've never had one let go Of course.. if you don't have an original fan or are overclocking.. you pays your money e t c
