New/Upgraded panels for DC6B, DC7, DC7B, & DC7C

Post by Mark C »

A lot happening at the moment it seems !

For those interested .... new/upgraded panels for DC6B, DC7, DC7B, & DC7C have been uploaded to both AVSIM and FLIGHTSIM websites.

The AVIM filenames for these are as follows ....

DC6B = dc6b_kmtggc.zip
DC7 panel = dc7_kmtggc.zip
DC7B panel = dc7b-kmtggc.zip
DC7C panel = dc7c-kmtggc.zip

These panels represent the original work of Ken MITCHELL .... upgraded by George CARTY (HJG) and have now been tailored more specifically for those beautiful models of these great propliners by Tom GIBSON and Greg PEPPER (CAL CLASSICS). My understanding is each of these panels now has dual compatibility ... with both FS2004 and FSX. I also understand each of the above packages comes complete with models, textures, and sounds etc.

Could be something nice hee for the PROPELLER HEADS !!!!

I downloaded them the other night and had no trouble opening them, so you may just need to download them again. I have not decided if I am going to install them yet.

Thanks Joe

It was odd because I had downloaded a couple of other files no problem

Oh well

Out of our control really Lief .... since these are AVSIM/FLIGHTSIM hosted rather than HJG hosted files .... and not an HJG product either, but rather, products a currently active HJG member has assisted another group with .... inter-group freeware collaboration at its best I reckon ! :)

Sometimes files do just naturally corrupt (for whatever reason) during downloading processes.

It's rare .... but .... it does/can happen !

Try again .... hopefully successfully .... and I hope you'll soon be able to enjoy these beauties ! ;-)

George has done a great job re working the panel etc and I love this aircraft, I have an Eagle repaint of the G-APSA which I had done a while back, tried it with the DC-6B and it works a treat so that will be uploaded today, it was gathering dust..oh and I realise its a DC-6A but it works well with the B pack..heathen that I am

Great plane.

.... viva Colombia ! :)

FYI .... I think it's the DC7C panel above which features a BOAC texture from 1950's era .... if anyone's interested.
