My childhood holiday memories consist of me and my sister being taken to Perranporth every single year in the back of my dads Capri and fighting all the way there over who's side of the back seat was who's, dad used to be always leaning back through and giving us a slap for fighting between ourselves!

Once we got there it was always, without fail luckily, really hot and sunny for the whole week and we'd spend our time either in the pool or down on the beach. Mum always got hideous sunburn. We used to climb the big rock in the middle of the beach, go on the trampolines which were on the beach or try and dam the little stream which ran accross the top. Never with any sucsess. Then in the evening, once we were a little older, mum and dad used to let us stay up with them and watch the terrible caberet style acts on in the bar.

You've brought back some really good memories, I really should go back down and see what's changed.

Lovely pics indeed, enough to make you want to emigrate back home. You don't see blue skies like that much in the UK...apart from FS skies that is!

Ahhhhhh great shots indeed, I went all over Cornwall in my younger days while stationed at Culdrose on and off for 8 years. Love the VW camper with
the wild rims, looks like you had a great time.
I remember one vacation my family went on vacation to Devon, my father got hold of a VW "thingy" with column shift, all it had was the two seats in the front
he built the seats to hold us 5 kids out of dexion in the back, so many memories of the west country for me.
Thanks for sharing.

Lovely shots Eddie.

Never been to that part of the country, but those pictures sure make it inviting.

Hi Nigel,

Its a beautiful place with very friendly people. Its such a shame we had to come home! :-(

We camped in Newquay, but travelled all along the coast. There are some fantastic (but narrow) roads. So if you like a drive out then its perfect.

I can't recommend it enough.
