Slug & Lettuce is actually a rather large pub chain, so not really a unique name. I had no idea they were a chain outfit. It's about 18 years ago that the pub in Newcastle-under-Lyme changed to the Slug & Lettuce and I seem to remember it only lasted a couple of years before changing name again.

I was going to ask about 'situational' pub names - for instance the 'Standing order' in Edinburgh which was a bank....
But I think Vegas has hit a better tone here....
