Pober Pixie

Post by FlyTexas »

A classic from the American homebuilt community arrives in FS2004/FSX. The Pober Pixie. :) This beautiful little model comes to use courtesy of Simon Smeiman and can be downloaded from Avsim.com. File name pixie.zip.

Looks quite nice. I've never heard of that aircraft before, but will be downloading it later as it looks like quite a good plane for low and slow vfr.

Thanks for the HU Brian

One of the members of the EAA Chapter at Fort Payne Ala had one - a delightful little aeroplane
Ill have to dig - But I believe i have some air to air shots taken from the cub of the little beastie.

Oh yes I notice he has used the Default Cessna 172 sounds for it - most Pixies used either
the 1495cc VW or the 0-200 so i would suggest using Don Putnams VW sound set or his Cessna 150
sound set for it .

The VW sounds are for the Turbulent and are at The Pond

Just do a search an Flightsim for Don Putnam - he has a Cessna 150 sound set there that will work

got the vw sound. they don't sound quit right to me, and trying the 150 sounds. now.

sombody needs to do some good quality sounds for some typical Flat 4 and 6 aircraft engines. with variations for muffled and strait exaust, and turbocharged and such...

those are very lacking in the fs sound comuntiy. :'(

to had one and I thought the sounds were spot on

But , horses for courses
