FS9 weather settings

Post by forthbridge »

Hi all,

I was mooching around in the JP a couple of days ago, and heading up the east coast in the general direction of Leuchars. I had real world weather turned on. Around St Abbs, (although the wind speed was about 2 knots) the AC started rocking and pitching severely - the worst I have *ever* seen in FS - in fact, I wrote the AC off in a crash attempting to land. I left the weather as it was, and took the Andover then a '10 up - with the same 'severe' turbulence evident, right down to ground level. No effect on heading, just more like being attached to a yo-yo string.

Now I know I should have checked the settings on the weather tab :$ - but I didn't....

Does anyone have a suggestion for settings to try and replicate decent weather with big potholes in the air?

I've set various ludicrous options, but cannot seem to replicate the sort of turbulence I got recently - and I need to practice the b**ger in case I'm out and about and the same thing happens again
