I installed SP3 (manually, not via autoupdate) on my system a while back without any problems.
My XP install has had a fair bit of abuse over the past few years, so I'm surprised it worked fine

After waiting for several weeks for the early adopters to report problems, I finally allowed automatic updates to install SP3 a week or so ago. So far I have not noticed any problems. The computer does appear to boot a little faster, but not significantly faster.

Nothing bad to report at my end either after quite a bit of use with SP3. I installed SP3 manually a few weeks after it was released (I don't use Windows Update so had to do the manual installation) and everything is working as expected, no hiccups.

Installed SP3 some time ago and haven't noticed any differences - good or bad. :dunno: EricT

I've had XP SP3 since its release, and haven't had a single issue.

Thanks to all, think I will go for the manual update the Ms reccomendation of turning off anti virus and firewall for the auto update does'nt appeal to me.
