Thanks for that Ben.

Downloaded them, but will have to wait for my next pension day to get the aircraft. Slightly overspent at the minute :-( :'(

Met him a few years back and you look nowt like him Rick.

No problems mate, I know that when I do take the plunge it will be well worth the wait. It's just that with grabbing that deal with with FSX and Acceleration, plus going mad and getting the full Monte GenX, the coffers are rather depleted. (Have we got a skint smiley?)

I actually started the transaction, noticed smoke coming from the direction of my card, (can bank managers really do that with a remote?) and decided to apply the brakes.

Hi Guys

this is how to get the droppable practice bombs!

anyone familiar with FSX mission
droppable ordinance should be able to save a flight with 2 pylons and 2 CBLS pods loaded then edit the flt file

also i recommend loading an Aden Cannon pack as it will give you a GGS (Gyro Gunsight) on the glareshield in each cockpit.

None of this is documented but is like an easter egg if you like.

Many thanks to Chris Sykes & David Bryce for their help and support with this part of the model.

Huge fun is to be had when dropping 3kg bombs

edit a saved .FLT to show this new section
to get 8 visible droppable practice bombs on the Hawk

[DroppableObjects.0]
ObjectSet.0=3kg_practice, 8,

As far as i know they are included in the main download

just make sure your SimObjects/Misc folder is showing a "3kg_practice" folder (sorry but being the author i have the master files and not a download install so i am not 100% sure they are there for you ??.

if not please let me know

Not used by the Red Arrows Obviously but by Hawk T1'a used in their RAF training role.

so make sure you remove the smoke pod by setting it's load to 0

So it's a bit more fun.

Anyone who has no idea what i am talking about you need to read the Hawk Manual first!
then you should understand the system i use for Ordinance loading and visibility that also adds the weight
thus avoiding the need for a dozen pointless models just for small details ;-)

Rick

Hi Chris

Yes mate but not 100% sure it's correct as i get no sound of an impact and a very small smoke mark for a very short duration.

it is the files you sent but not sure if i set the cfg correctly :$
maybe i needed a texture to go with the effects you sent ???

Regards
Rick

Ah sound, sorry i never checked for sound :worried: ... The smoke side of it doesnt last long in real life IIRC, i think its set to be about 10-15 seconds on the cfg but it can be extended if you want. Ill have a go at getting sound for it tonight for you.

New effect files have been emailed to Rick, they now have a sound effect and longer lasting spotting smoke.
