Hi Tony..

It probably was me but having just looked on this pc.. I can't find the particular string. Do a forum search for 'Hex Editing' and you should find something recent as this only came up again a week or so ago ;-)

Here's a thread from April Tony..

Hi Tony

are you trying to remove the VC for Ai use ?.

as an Ai model would never call the VC anyway so it will make no difference to framerate.

or am i barking up the wrong tree mate ?

Regards
Rick

No I think your right and its me barking up the wrong tree, thanks for this Rick it has saved me a lot of time :)
I may go and get that payware EC135 as I am trying to convince the powers that be at work to go for a high end PC with FSX VFR scenery for the Midlands and the payware 135 for pilot training and also observer training over Birmingham etc.
This freeware one is good but a pig to paint, it'll do for now until I decide if I will go for the payware one
cheers Tony

Hi Tony

if it was FSX (a 4 letter word to TM)

you can simply delete the internal model.
the hex edit will remove the VC but you won't see a gain as Ai

all you should do is remove it's panel folder and you should be fine mate.

I have the ND EC135 but as you sit in one a few times a day it will not look as good to you as it does to me

but it's by far the best EC-135 so far and i like it.

I did start some Plod liveries too but stopped as i got sick of sending PM's to the Nemeth brothers on their own support forum
and they are still in my outbox 4 months on.

I offered Tamas all the xml.codes so he could add NightSun (or whatever it's called) etc and all the bits and bobs simply through the fuel & load screen same way the Hawk works
thought that way they only need one model same as Hawk which is much easier to maintain but alas they don't bother looking at their PMs

it also widens the repaint possibilities which then increases sales but hey they can't be bothered :dunno:

So thats that, i tried to help :brick:

Rick

Shame that they did not bother :O(
The freeware one is very near to the real one regarding cockpit layout etc and most of the buttons work as well! So I guess the payware version would be even better.
RE FSX...sadly I quite like it..hope no one is listening ;O)

Oh EC-135...that EC-135 :$

When you mentioned in the email about the EC-135 for AI I was thinking of one of these
