That was it......last flew I think it was April 1999. At that time there was an airworthy one in Guatemala but it hadn't flown for a while and didn't again.

The Herald finshed almost where it started......one of the early Jersey Airlines routes was Bournemouth to the CI although the Gatwick route was first.

The last was Guernsey-Bournemouth

Ah yeah.that was posted a while back.....thanks anyway :)

Makes a good start with that clanger............the Herald was not the last Handley Page built aircraft.

Lots of good links on the side ...some rare Halifax ones :)

Can the incredible increase in scrap metal prices over the last 2 years have any bearing on this event?
