... As I am stickless at the moment, I may as well try my hand at getting total feel for the Trident autopilot - around that centre of starnge activity - Machrihanish....
Somehow, it's a long way from Peters' Grumman display

It was 1979 and we were drunk...we couldn't stand up, never mind spell 'starnge'...'strenge'..whatever...I was hoping no-one would bring that up...and I don't remember the area around Machrihanish being that green....

For some reason, that BA texture always takes an age to load and looks like a smear....... but it's about the only time the aircraft are close enough together to appear in the one shot.....
Mucking around with the spot view, I converted the textures to DXT3 without mipmaps. The 'Trident 3' on the tail and (at times) part of the BA logo still has a blur even at 1/4 speed to give it time to load. Very odd, I don't remember it as horrible as that!
Jim, did you back up the textures before you converted them? You need to always start with the full 32bit textures as once they have ben converted down, you can't convert them back up to a higher quality.
I would try downloading the textures again, and this time generate them "With Mips" and ensure mipmaping is allowed on your graphics card.
