Viscount Training Routings.

Post by Nigel H-J »

OK, own up.........Who doesn't want me back south of the border then? :@

Training flight commenced at Heathrow to Dyce.....So far so good!!

Booked what I thought would be a return flight to dear ol' London.............WRONG!!........Only available flight was to Glasgow.......OK, not too bad I thought, maybe I might be routed back to EGLL after I arrive........WRONG AGAIN!!......Only available flight was to.......wait for it!!......Dyce!! :doho:

Now I am beginning to feel quite worried that I will be bounced between Glasgow and Dyce for the forseeable future!! :worried:

Dave, John............. HELP

Quite willing to do a return flight to Dyce for my rating if it means getting home.

Stopping overnight in Glasgow as now run out of hours..........and options!!

Regards
Nigel.

Hi Nigel :)

Fraser put the Viscount training flights together as the turbo props are his. If they are anything like my piston prop TF's.. they do not all run from or to the same airports. I tried to keep mine as simple as possible but in order to get some variation.. different airfields were necessary so I guess Fraser has done the same.

For example.. if you picked up the Viscount from EGPF, there may be alternative training flights out of there or indeed out of EGPD from whence you've just come. There should be a list of training flights for each aircraft type in the training section. I've not been there for a while so I'll go and look now :)

Hi Nigel,

Your schedule should have been CBFT800/803/806/807 EGPF - EGLL - EGPD - EGPF

http://www.cbfsim.org/cb-bb/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=12461
and
http://www.cbfsim.org/cb-bb/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=12469

In view of the fact you started EGLL, then please route CBFT806/807/800/803 EGLL - EGPD - EGPF - EGPE - EGLL

Regards

John

Many thanks but already checked out the routing before I flew.

As with the HS 748 having allowed both ratings to expire, I was scheduling my training as per the following:

Schedule C : Two sectors required to be flown. This is for the renewal of a Type Rating which has been revoked.

My two sectors would have been Heathrow to Dyce and return followed by one to Birmingham and return which is similar to my HS748 training.

Can you please re-confirm whether or not I have to re-do four sectors?

Many thanks in advance.

Nigel.

Hi Nigel,

OK, you now have the full TR for your Viscount renewal. The sched C was EGPF-EGPE-EGPF, all Viscount training uses EGPF based aircraft. You'll have all Viscount 800 flights available for revenue flights now but you'll need to get 'HR back to EGLL where it's based.

Hi John, sorry if I've messed things up with my training, not having a good week TBH!!

Many thanks for sorting this out for me, will be departing Glasgow tomorrow but as now flying for revenue will undertake a couple of stops at various airports before flying back to Heathrow.

Regards
Nigel.
