**Incidentally, the Canmore archive, free to use, is well worth registering with and having a look around. Some amazing images are on line, and it gets updated regularly.

I think the pictures of Omaha beach and Auschwitz are particularly poignant. I've been to Omaha, and to Dachau concentration camp, and you can sense death in those places.
