The anti-flash white paint scheme never looked that grubby or weathered, did it ? I'm looking forward to this model immensely, but that just doesn't look authentic at all to me.
Indeed. Perhaps a more weathered look on a modern '558, rather than the anti-flash white scheme. The smoke could do with a little beefing up aswell, should probably be a bit thicker (in size).
Bear in mind the Vulcan is still in Alpha, and an early Alpha at that so is still very much a work in progress, the weathering on the anti-flash white scheme has already been addressed and the smoke will be looked at a bit further into development.
I agree that in the first shots the Vulcan seems to have been over weathered, but now it appears to have gone completely the other way, under weathered.
I felt that the textures of the PSS/Just Flight Vulcan let the model down as they weren't detailed enough ie.realistic weathering etc so it would be a shame for this one to follow suit.
Model looks really good though, keep up the good work.
The second group of pictures are closer to reality. Be assured, I closely studied the Vulcan's anti-flash paint scheme as a 4-year old at Wyton and Gaydon, so I know what I'm talking about! ;-)
Seriously though, Garry has it...more panel details and lines will probably correct the overall impression on the eye. But that white is definitely more authentic. Well done chaps.
