Sorry,
Mini's do it for me everytime. Or maybe it's the combination of flame red hair and black tights and mucky-lookin', spit caked mascara, who knows........ LOL. What am I thinking??? I was born in '71 and that stew looks a lot like my mum. Even so, mum or not I wish she would turn up the heat a bit and dance around that First class cabin a bit more!!
Truth be told I will never get back to Gatwick in time to find these fine specimens of Woman-hood, I would need a Tardis for that!!!...
Note when she looks to port there is a good shot of the VC10 parked next door.
And thank God no-one has marked that bowl, why is it that they always have to show you the bog? We invented toilets for Gawds sake! Such a comfortable 10 abreast seating arrangement too!

And just lest we forget British Caledonian had possibly the most unforgettable (if totally un-PC) byline ever!! I love it! If there are any stews left out there today who can relate to this please dont hesitate to drop me a line. If for leg-ulcer management or make-up tips alone. LOL

John
For those of us who were part of that timeslip - Callie girls were alway far superior to The Corporation trolley dollies, the kilts were shorter, and it was
part of a rite of passage if you worked on LGW to collect at least one Kiltpin - The best place to go was the Hunters Moon at Copthorne , with the
upstairs bar of the Hickmet (Of your taste ran to American and Canadian trolley-dollies)a close second. I love the Hamsters hat at the begining of the video (and the Ministry of Silly Walks regulation gait) I had a hat like that once from the Bealine stores - by the time I drove back to LGW it had the required "Fifty
mission crush".
Thanks for the Memories

Oh I am so thinking 'fellow stew perv' LOL
Isn't it funny how times change? What seemed so normal and acceptable in the 80's looks absolutely ridiculous and dated these days.

Utter nonsense, Leif!!!DispatchDragon wrote: Callie girls were alway far superior to The Corporation trolley dollies
And what about the BOAC summer uniform of the early 70s? Do you remember the light blue one-piece minidress? It had a zip down to the navel as well as being short and tight. You could always tell how much a fun a girl was going to be by how far down her zip was. Callie girls were buttoned up to the neck - well, in public anyway!

LOL Ian
Yes I remember it well - it rated right up there with the Court minislip thing with the straw boater - used to love windy days at Luton
or the battledress top and hot pants of Skyways in their final days.
Sorry mate - you know there was always that slight oneupmanship with the Corporation amongst us poor charter operators - until
Airtours showed up none us stood a chance in H*ll of scoring a Speedbird stew.
Oh and speaking of CourtLine - does anyone know the signifigance of the boater the girls wore???
and it had nothing to do with "The Prisoner"
