I appear to be at No.8 but have never tried No.7 and have no intention of ever doing so I don't dream I'm a real pilot and will never build my own 'proper' simulator so that's me finished I do play in a real aircraft though and fly the same one on the VA but that wasn't an option!

I guess Im 8 as Well Dave (although I do admit to number 7) I DONT dream of being a commercial pilot (that would be a step DOWN for me ;-) And as to aspirations of building a simulator ? Why bother AAY has two full movment MD80 sims

Well.. if you look at it another way, I really don't need to build my own simulator as Vickers Armstrongs did that for me in the shape of G-APEP. I think that's close enough to 'As Real As It Gets' While it doesn't fly.. neither does it CTD and want to go online to send an error report It has surround sound.. wall to wall vibrations (when the engines are running).. a smell to die for and all this for around 80galls of Avtur per 10mins of fun at ground idle

I could never build my own simulator though I'd be happy to play in someone elses!
