FSX Deluxe + Acceleration = £22.48 inc P & P

Hi Guys,

Don't shoot the messenger and please don't start another FS9/FSX debate. If you don't want FSX and are sticking with FS9 fine, but if you are thinking about getting FSX then get this quick :-

From Amazon. Read the 'Product Promotions' regards buying FSX Deluxe and getting FSX Acceleration added to your basket without charge!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... ROKL5A1OLE

I don't know if there are any cheaper deals for the combined purchase of both titles but I personally think this is a very good price.

Regards

Hi,

Me again. I was sceptical re this so just did a trial purchase without confirming the order. The full price remains in the shopping basket until you have entered your payment details. Once you have entered those, the new page displays the summary and the applied promotion reduction making the acceleration pack free. Don't forget to select supersaver delivery.

Regards

OK - this looks like a deal. I have been putting off buying FSX until now but I confess I have been seduced by this, since twenty two of our splendid British pounds seems like a good price, anyway for what I anticipate will be the pleasure of flying Dave G's Beaufighter. (After all I might have paid £20 for it as a payware product.....)

Now comes the question - what do I do with my free Acceleration???

Do I install it and forgo SP1 and SP2 or are the fixes in SP1 & SP2 included in Acceleration?

Guidance and advice welcomed as always.

Cheers

Install FSX then Acceleration. The expansion pack contains SP1 and SP2 fixes and will install those for you.

Erk, OK, I found the answer I wanted, I think on one of Dave B's posts. Looks like Acceleration has the SP's in it....

Although my current computer may struggle with FSX, this deal was just too good to miss, so I ordered it. I'll be getting a new PC later in the year, and FSX was on the list anyway.

Thanks Quantum, a very good 'heads-up' indeed.

Any decent freeware you care to...and of course Shockwave's entire catalogue. I'm sure you can hand out free samples, can't you ? ;-)
