I'm looking to get some UK photo scenery. Is this this the best one out?

Hi Jonesey :)

Yup.. I'd say so ;-)

John.. yup, taken as read but even so.. £15 against buying all three areas again is good value for money don't you think

Hi Dave,

Oh yes, I've placed my order for the 3 volume set of ver 2. Too big a download as far as I'm concerned plus I'm lazy and like the idea of all the updates (to date) on one set of discs. I reckon a few sets of ver 1 will be turning up on ebay soon :-#

Regards

John

Hi,

Got my new V2 discs this morning. Interestingly they have included a bonus. From the back cover of the DVD box :
Providing incredible value for money, this new release of VFR Generation X includes not only spectacular scenery for Microsoft FSX, but also the original VFR Photographic Scenery and VFR Terrain for Microsoft FS2004, giving you breath-takingly detailed and realistic scenery for the whole of England and Wales for both FS2004 and FSX.

so does that mean that you get FS2004 VFR included for free?? it says the same on the other volumes as well... sadly still struggling to find time to install them in FSX..too many bloody home jobs to do :@ :@

Hi Tony,

I just put the first disc of Volume 1 in and the first choice you are given is to select whether you want to instal GenX to FSX or VFR to FS2004.

John..

Have you had to uninstall GenX v1 to get v2 on or has it updated the v1 install??

Version 2 is a completely fresh install, not an upgrade to v1. Apparently, a default v1 install and a v2 install can live side by side. However, to do this will use an enormous amount of disk space, and there isn't really any benefit to keeping v1.
