As I'd have hoped but I've already hit a brick wall on the graphics front.. I'm getting nowt off the card :'( I see a red lamp on the card lit but there's nowt coming out of the back end. Not sure how many pwr connectors need to be used and the manual is about as much use as a packet of scratchings in a synagogue (excuse the spelling but frustration is setting in already) :@

I'm hoping Rick can shed some light ;-)

Hi Tony..

Got it sorted in the end ;-) The 2900XT has one large 8pin and a 6pin. As there was no large 8pin coming off the PSU.. I'd only plugged the 6pin in. Rick informed me to plug another 6pin into the 8pin hole (noting the key position) and that fired it up. Sitting here with a healthy tan now

I lost graphics while windows was 53% of the way through formatting the raw drive C so I sat and left it. It eventually restarted but still no graphics so I waited for a period of inactivity and turned it off for a couple of mins. Turned it back on and bob's your uncle ;-) Eventually went to install the latest Cat drivers only to be told that Control Centre needs Net Framework v2 and here's me without AV or an internet connection on it!! Never mind.. the display drivers loaded ;-)

Yes.. and as if by magic, I type this from the newly built system :welldone: One of those adaptors seems a little unstable (loose wire me thinks) as the card won't fire up with any pressure on the cable but I'll get that sorted ;-)
