Hawk and FEX (23 pics)

Post by TSR2 »

Doing some flight testing last night and this morning. The evening shots are FSX SP2, FEX and DX9, the Morning shots are FSX SP2, FEX DX10. Also using GenX VFR photo scenery for the England & Wales shots, however, NI and Scotland are Default FSX.

Hmm.. I was gonna ask what FEX is as I wasn't sure I was seeing anything (or the effects of it) :o Your shots look a little blurred Ben.. a consequence of downsizing perhaps??

Ben,

Have you a link to Sampson and Goliath? RNAS Sydenham aka 'George Best Belfast City Airport ' looks a bit strange in my FSX without them!

Thanks,
Myles

Hi Myles,

I hate the new airport and a while back was playing with FSX planner. I can't model at all so used some photos from the late 70's early 80's to try and use default FSX objects to make it look a bit more like it would have done in those days. I'll PM you the link to what I've done.. Samson and Goliath aren't mine, they are by Jerome Logue and are on AVSIm for FS2002, but seem fine in FSX, even in DX10 mode! I still need to do loads with it, but there is so little left now on the Harland site that hasn't been turned into faceless Glass fronted offices... bah humbug.

Thanks, Ben, I'll go and hunt those cranes down!

I hadn't noticed the JCB until after I posted - it's good to know somebody's trying to do a bit of restoration! ;-)

Thanks again,
Myles
