It's ok I've answered my own question... it was flightcraft. The reason I was looking was that they did a 'free' tanker version, with a couple of flights. They've long gone by the looks of it, but by using 'wayback machine' I've retrieved a copy.... if anyone wants it it's here (needs a panel and sounds) http://web.archive.org/web/200512180924 ... anker.html

Kind regards

thanks to everyone for your help, you have given me a lot to think about.
Since I posted this topic I have tried this model on my other flight sim, it runs on a less powerful PC than the one I used originally, I am very pleased to say i have managed to successfully fly an ILS appoach and landing twice.
I have a theory that the less power PC ,, eg CPU and graphics card is not so sensitive and is more idiot tollerent because on my other more powerful PC I have managed the approach ok but put the aircraft down too heavily, ( even though I had 50% fuel ) and ended up with smoke and flames from the engines.
Again thank you, I am sure with all your help I will improve, all your advice with my Trident topic I posted recently, as dramatically improved my flying of that aircraft.
By the way I have cheated a little with the Vulcan, I found out how to add a GPS screen, so I have slight ly modernised the avionics, to help navigation in foul weather.

John..
Flightcraft.. blimey, I have that too somewhere on cd. It's here in the toyroom no more than a few feet away but where is anyones guess.. such is the state of my toyroom  If I'm not mistaken, the advert for that and the PSS Vulcan were very similar and I ended up buying the Flightcraft one thinking it was the PSS
