but what really made a difference was that I went from a gforce 5200 with 128megs of ram to a gforce 7600gs with 512megs.
it was like going from black and white, to color. for fs2004 I went from having to turn down some of the seting to get a decent frame rate. to maxing EVERYTHING out and turning up the resolution to 1260x1048 and still having the fps peged at 25.
I can finally play fsx now. before I had the setting turned way down and could only get 8fps. Now it is about were fs2004 was before I got the upgrade. and I was finally able to justify getting the acceleration expantion.
some of my other 3d games were even more dramatic.
when I first saw how it improved world of warcraft I had to take a cold shower.
defenatly worth the money.
