Garry,

Many thanks for your prompt reply. It just seemed a bit clunky.

Just another reason for appreciating this site. I suppose it is something to do with maturity (read 'old age' in my case), etc.

Nice to know that you are another night owl.

That's a wise choice. I really did like to get among the cumulus.

Here's anexample of FE using just the FS2004 weather engine. It's my desktop.

Thanks for that - nice to see what the software does look like. I'm sat here at my Dad's house awaiting delivery of my new PC (1hr 05 mins to go....) and then probably wont be seen for a little while. Only problem is that I have to take Dad out to lunch down the Flying Club at 11.30, so that will give me a little break!!

240 is alive and well and currently on loan to RNAS Yeovilton for a few months. I miss her :(

Best wishes to all,

Martin

Well.......its arrived and I'm very very happy with it. Have installed FS2004 with the VFR Scenery, VFR Terrain, UK2000 Airports and local autogen (trees etc) and with 70% Traffic 2005 and 100% 3D cloud coverage am getting a normal rate of 65fps. Everything is so nice and smooth.

Think need to fine tune a little bit more, but its just how I want it. All to do now is install my own AI and add the various scenery addons - Satanic Mills, UK ANO, TV Masts, Windfarms etc). And then try and work out how to purchase Portland 02 and install it on this non-internet machine.

Runs CofD4, DIRT and Frontline - Fuel of War fine. Going to add IL2 1946 tonight and Lockon Gold. But the main thing is that the sim is running to what I got the upgrade for.

Thanks to all with their help and assistance in the last couple of weeks. Much appreciated as usual.

Best wishes to all,

Martin
