Not a huge problem but irritating!
When in FS9 if I look to the right in 2D or VC view, there is no engine sound......just eerie silence. I have had this issue on 2 installations of FS9 now. I can live with it but am wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem! If so, is it easily fixed?! Many thanks you clever lot!

Rob,
I get this in FSX, I just hit Q to mute the sim, then hit it again to unmute it. Seems to work. I also get it no matter how many times I re-install!

What should happen is that the sound in the left speaker should get louder and the sound in the right speaker should get quieter...Perhaps the left speaker is not actually working :think:RobDob wrote:When in FS9 if I look to the right in 2D or VC view, there is no engine sound......just eerie silence. They're both working which is why it's odd. I've not had time to re-load and try the 'q' option but will give it a go and report back!

Check your speaker settings in Windows if both speakers are working, and the mute-unmute trick doesn't work, you could have it set for more (or possibly less) speakers than you actually have plugged in to the PC. A previous motherboard's on-board sound used to like setting itself to 5.1 whenever it felt like it and I would get all sorts of strange sound oddities on a 2.0 speaker system.
