Queen of the Skies

Post by speedbird591 »

Since Dan hasn't posted any of his lovely pics of GK lately, I thought it was about time the golden speedbird had an airing in the gallery.

There was something else on TV this week that featured a VC10 - I'm trying to wrack my brains as to what...

Just remembered: Carry on Again Doctor... :)

Oooh drooling! ;-)

Very nice, I'll probably have my head bitten off for this as it will be obvious but what airport is that? :dunno:

Cheers

Hi Iain - congratulations on the meteor thing! The scenery is 9 Dragons Hong Kong KaiTak. A classic British aircraft at a classic British airport (Oh yes it was!). It's a free download from Avsim and is my favourite airport in FS and was also my favourite airport in the real world. I seem to find everything else a bit boring now ... It's for FS9 only and it demotes the new airport at Chek Lap Kok to a building site as it was circa 1996. So if those factors are not a problem for you, it's a fantastic piece of scenery and very gentle on the frame rates.

Dan - glad you picked up on the gentle hint. I hope to see SGK in the gallery again soon!

Cheers, guys.
