B707

Post by Filonian »

File Description:
FSX/FS9 BOEING 707 COLLECTION (420, VC137-C, 300/400 PASSENGER/CARGO). Includes four new and reworked models, 19 reworked reflecting textures, VC, Passenger's views, flexing wings, full animated parts. For FS9 GAUGES NOT INCLUDED: you have to download MR. HELIO ESTRELA'S wonderful panel: "he707v1" and its fix "panel_109110". For FSX uses default B747-400 PANEL. Other files suggested: "nlf_v2.zip" and "njs_final.zip" by Nick Needham, for lights and smoke effects. NO FIXES NEEDED. By Libardo Guzman.

Is this the HJG that has been packaged? Next to bottom of page 2 of "What's new" on AVSIM

Thanks for being alert, but I believe it's genuine... this Mr. Guzman has been on the 707 for a while now.... He may have got his inspiration from HJG, but until proved otherwise, I believe it's good enough.

But still thanks for keeping your eyes peeled.

Mr Guzman is the guy who worked with Calclassics to produce the C-46

So likely that this 707 is his own work - particularly as it has been around for a while now without adverse comment about its heritage.

Pleased about that in the light of what has happened in the recent past, and my apologies to Mr. Guzman for any offence I might have caused him.

Actually, he's been entirely transparent in his efforts. He posted several previews and updates on the HJG forum during the development. I believe that it was during this time he got interested in doing the C-46 as Tom Gibson and he had several chats on the HJG forum after the 707 was first previewed.

Yes I recognise this work now, he has done some good stuff before and he is offering a freeware 707 witha VC, considering this guy has done all the work himself he has done a decent job which I am sure the classic lovers wil appreciate, like Chris said he has been up front about this and it was just me not recognising his work. :doho: I think that we have to be careful to not be "over protective" in that everyone in FS has the choice to download and use what they want and also the designers can make and upload what they want, if there are 4 or 5 different models of the same aircraft I say "Bonus!" I think each will have its merits as well as its disadvantages, the "buyer" has the choice and the more the merrier :)
